Our Approach

At Sweetbay Yoga, we know that learning isn’t a linear process. Labeling every practitioner’s level of practice by a number doesn’t do justice to Sweetbay’s offerings, but most practitioners do generally fall into one of three categories. Read below to see which category best describes your practice, and then see which classes or workshops are recommended for your continued journey.

Begin Where You Are

This is a long-time Sweetbay motto - begin where you are today, tomorrow, next week. You may be brand new to yoga, coming back after time away, starting at Sweetbay from a different yoga path, or wanting to go back and bolster the base of your practice.

Develop + Explore

You feel secure in standing poses, basic backbends and forward bends, and have started inversions. Your practice is developing, and your curiosity is heightened.

Delve Deeper

You’ve been on the yoga mat and around the props for a while. You’re confident in inversions and have started deeper backbends. You know how to proceed safely in your practice, accepting alternatives when something isn’t working for you.
